Corona Virus Covid-19 safety measures

To help ensure the protection of our guests and ourselves, we have adopted the following procedures.

We require all guests to wear facemasks/face coverings in all communal areas except when eating or drinking.

Irrespective of any decisions or policy changes made by UK Government, we have decided to continue with our current Covid-19 safety precautions until the end of the year.

On arrival

On entering the hotel guests will be asked to use the Hand Gel Sanitizing Station situated at the foot of the stairs. We ask that all guests use this sanitizing station every time they enter the hotel and prior to entering the dining room for breakfast and/or evening meal.

We will help you to your room with your baggage, trying to keep to the distancing measures advised. We will also help you with car parking although this may have to be different from previous years. Your set of keys will have been disinfected.

Continual cleaning will be carried out throughout the day in all public areas of the hotel.


All staff will wear PPE whilst serving breakfast. To adhere to social distancing guidelines there will be two sittings, 8:15 and 9:15. We ask guests to arrive on time for their agreed sitting. Prior to entering the dining room guests must use the Hand Gel station.

Breakfast will be pre-ordered and will be serviced throughout. Table cloths, bowls/dishes that hold sauce, sugar, and marmalades/jam will all be changed for your sitting.

Pre-ordered Room service will be available between 8:30-9:00 and will consist of fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast, jam/marmalade, chocolate pastry, tea, coffee. This will be placed outside your door. We ask that you place the tray outside your door for collection when you have finished.

Your room

All glasses, crockery, tea/coffee & sugar containers will be replaced for each booking. Prior to your arrival your room will be deep cleaned including:

  • Light switches
  • Bedside tables
  • Remote control
  • Taps
  • Flush handle and toilet seat
  • Hair dryer handle
  • Safe buttons
  • Wardrobe doors
  • Chiller
  • Kettle handle and lid
  • Heaters

With the above, all window ledges, shelves and surfaces will be cleaned. All soft furnishings, including pillows and mattress, will be sanitised.

To reduce any cross contamination, we will stop the daily tidying of rooms. Towels will be changed every 2 days, please leave dirty ones safely outside your door along with full rubbish bags, tied at the top please. All of our rooms will be supplied with the following:

  • Tea towel
  • Jay cloth
  • Washing up liquid
  • Toilet bleach spray
  • Additional bin bags
  • Anti-bacterial wipes
  • Anti-bacterial hand wash.
